Julie Rajagopal was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Film and Video Studies. After graduation she moved to California and began working in the field of media production and marketing.
In 2008 Julie embarked on a 13 month, 27 country trip around the world while maintaining a sponsored travel blog. The experience motivated Julie to shift her career path in a more interdisciplinary direction. She is now exploring the intersection of social media, advertising, and community development in the San Francisco Bay Area.
