Arlen Meyers is a professor of otolaryngology, dentistry, and engineering at the University of Colorado Denver and serves on the faculty of the University of Denver.
He is a cofounder of Medvoy, a medical tourism facilitation and information resource, and currently serves as their Chief Medical Officer. In addition, he has started two medical device companies. His primary research centers around commercialization of devices that optically detect surface and near surface cancers of the upper aerodigestive system. Arlen consults and speaks to companies, governments, colleges and universities around the world who need my expertise and contacts in the areas of bio entrepreneurship, bioscience, healthcare, healthcare IT, medical tourism -- nationally and internationally, new product development, product design, and financing new ventures. He serves as an advisor to the Life Sciences practice at www.headwatersmb.com, a mid-level investment bank headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
In 2010, Arlen completed a Fulbright at Kings Business, the commercialization office of technology transfer at Kings College in London. Publications this year include being the sub editor of the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology and co-editor of a bioscience business casebook, "Building the Case for Biotechnology."
