Mark N.Mark H. Neuffer
President, Integer Research & Consulting, LLC
Chicago, Illinois, USA

Mark Neuffer grew up and was educated in New England.   His interests and work have spanned a wide variety of environments and subjects.  As an undergraduate at Yale University, Mark worked at an agricultural research experiment station as a research assistant.  Following his graduation with a degree in English, he researched and co-authored a scholarly business history of a major forest products company.

In the business community, Mark worked for a leading computer manufacturer as a systems consultant, supporting clients during the explosive growth of end-user computing during the 1980s. As a management consultant during the 1990s, he assisted business and not-for-profit clients in strategic planning, information systems planning and implementation, and business process reengineering.

Mark's volunteer experience in New York City's homeless shelters sharpened his desire to apply business and technology disciplines and experience to the human services arena.  After taking a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago in Social Service Administration, Mark received several grants from the MacArthur Foundation to develop and publish an electronic directory of social service resources on Chicago’s South Side to support Chicago Housing Authority residents and other community members.

Mark is president of Integer Research & Consulting, LLC in Chicago.  His current focus is on improving the delivery of human services through better deployment of human service information and technology.  He is particularly interested in work that has a positive and measurable impact on the well-being of underserved Americans.  Integer provides customized consulting to government and NGO clients defining strategies and best practices to develop state-of-the-art human services information systems.

Mark's interests include writing poetry, reading history and literature, hiking expeditions, and photography.
