Marjorie (“Margie”) Maguire-Krupp serves as the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer-Finance, Operations & Governance of CARTHA.

Margie is both a CPA and a Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA).  Her professional memberships include the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA),< http://www.theiia.org/> where she serves on the Board of Trustees of the IIA’s Research Foundation, and previously was a member of its International Committee on Quality.  She also plans to work closely with the IIA’s Coastal Georgia chapter to strengthen its audit training and development programs.  She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  Margie has been an invited guest speaker on Risk Management at the 60th and 62nd International Conferences of the IIA.  She has also contributed to writings published in the IIA - Japan magazine as well as an IIA Research Foundation publication. 

Margie also serves as a Trustee of the Franklin & Marshall College Alumni Board. As a member of its Career Services Committee, she is promoting fellowships and internships for the College’s student population.  In addition, Margie has also been active with the U.S. Power Squadron, a not-for-profit boating safety and education organization, for over 20 years, where she has served as an Aide to the Bridge of its “District 4” Region as well as serving as Chairperson of the Auditing Committee of its Liberty Harbor Power Squadron.

Margie, as a freelance consultant, is currently engaged in internal audit, risk management, SOX404, and compliance consulting to the global consumer banking and consumer finance division of American International Group (AIG).  Previously, she was the   Vice President, Risk Management, Governance and Audit for AIG’s Consumer Finance Group, and continues to direct its staff of 45+ auditors.  Margie previously held various managerial positions in finance, accounting and operations at the investment banking/brokerage division of GE Capital Services (Kidder, Peabody), Sumitomo Bank, Asea Brown Boveri, and Ernst & Young.

Margie is a graduate with distinction of the MBA-Finance program at the New York University Stern School of Business, and received her undergraduate degree cum laude in Accounting from F&M.  She was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies.

Margie has been married for 23 years to Joseph Krupp, a retired institutional fixed income professional and former principal of Alex Brown & Sons.  She has one son, Parnell, a freshman at American University’s School of International Service, three step-daughters, three son-in-laws and eight grandchildren.
