Tim Paschkewitz
Tim is currently a fifth year graduate student in analytical Chemistry at The University of Iowa. He currently is working on a research project funded through the Iowa Energy Center, aimed at developing a biologically-based system to produce ammonia.
In addition to his interest in Chemistry, Tim is actively involved in student government at The University, having served as President of Graduate Student Senate and currently as the Budget Director on The Executive Council of Graduate and Professional Students. He likes to think of his work in science as a way to make global contributions, particularly from a public/scientific policy perspective. He is a fellow of the Obermann Graduate Institute on Enagagement and the Academy and enjoys sharing his work with diverse audiences. It was through this fellowship that Tim became familiar with CARTHA and with CARTHA founder Usha Balakrishnan.
Tim hopes to transition from research scientist to scientific policymaker after completing his dissertation.
Tim volunteers for CARTHA by providing website assistance.
